We’re  thrilled to introduce Cyrus Walker, another of the talented artists joining us for the Fall Art Walk!Cyrus’s work moves between two pursuits. On one hand, he looks for common themes within human nature that tie us all together. On the other, he focuses on communicating things that might hold meaning only for him. Both have merit, but it’s the latter that fascinates him most. 

Cyrus loves when a viewer finds a message or theme in a piece that grew solely out of his personal relationship with the muse, which raises a question he finds endlessly intriguing: are there things in this world with universal meaning? Symbolism plays a big role in his work, a nod to the classic painters and their pursuits. 

For Cyrus, every painting begins in the mind. He focuses acute attention on a feeling, then takes on the challenge of bringing something that often seems better suited to live only in thought onto the canvas.
